Ivey Knows how to Wave Hello

While shopping the Sunday after Christmas Ivey started to wave hello. She waved hello to me, her aunts and even to the greeter at Lucky Brand Jeans. I am extremely proud.

Dr. Hauschka Neem Hair Lotion

After using it for about a year Dr. Hauschka’s  Neem Hair Lotion has become the one hair care product I can’t live without.

In the past I would wash and blow dry my hair daily to keep it looking  clean. Over washing however left my scalp dry, itchy and flaky. By applying this hair lotion daily I  now only have to wash my hair once or twice a week.

This product is designed to aid both oily and dry scalp conditions due to the following ingredients:

  • Neem Leaf Extract which discourages bacteria and prevents flaking
  • Calendula which soothes and calms irritation
  • Nettle which works as an astringent

These three ingredients together create a wonderful tonic which soothes, calms, hydrates and strengthens your hair. The only bad thing about this product is the cost ($29.95) but then again I do save a lot of money on shampoo and conditioner.

Kiehl’s Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion

I have to admit, I am not the biggest Kiehl’s fan. I have experienced only minimal success with most of their product line, however I absolutely love their Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion treatment.

I have been using this product religiously (2-3 times a week) for a year. It leaves my skin super smooth without the raw irritated feeling I have experienced from other scrubs.

This polishing cream is formulated with crushed microshells derived from ocean sand in a shea butter base. There is no fragrance or added acids, which is probably why it doesn’t irritate my skin like other scrubs.

Although this product is expensive, it is nowhere near as expensive (or time consuming) as spa/salon micro-dermabrasion treatments. As a result of this product combined with the rest of my beauty routine my complexion looks just as good (if not better) than when I used visit an esthetician monthly.

Have you tried this product and if so, do you love it as much as I do?

UPDATE 04/23/10: Recently I have been spending a lot of time and energy learning  about ingredients that are often found in beauty products. As a result,  I no longer endorse this particular product due to the fact that it contains parabens such as methylparaben and butylparaben as well as other chemicals.
