Ten More Sales = an Additional $1,000 for Faces of Tomorrow

WOW- totally new incentive to visit my shop!

The wonderful people at OpenSky have been beyond supportive in my effort to raise money for Faces of Tomorrow, and they decided to step up their support EVEN MORE. I’ve already made 20 sales this month (THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!), and they just let me know if I reach 30 sales by the end of this month.. they’ll give and additional 1,000 BIG ONES to FOT!! Do you KNOW how many SMILES that provides (aside from mine…)

The best part is that it doesn’t JUST have to be necklace sales, it just has to be any product over $12. This makes me excited because I’ve got so many awesome products in my shop (course I love them, I put them there and use them all the time). So I wanted to go over a few of my ABSOLUTE favorites so that you can support FOT without having to purchase ONLY a necklace.

Here’s some of my favorites and why:
  • Sweet P’s Cactus Flower Hydrating Mist, I use this as a toner twice a day after I wash my face and before I moisturize. This product was created especially based on my request by the lovely Paula. It is wild crafted, organic and seriously hydrates your face!
  • Bottoms Up Baby Wipes, in my quest to remove as may toxins from our home as possible I have been replacing traditional disposable wipes with this great kit that is GOOD for the planet and GOOD for your baby. I love the smell and it is surprisingly convenient and easy to use.
  • Sweetsation – Organic SPF 30+ Sunscreen, It is not just for babies! This sunscreen is jam packed with kick butt ingredients making it a state of the art skin care pampering treatment for mom’s face and hands as well. Plus I love how it smells like YUMMY chocolate marshmallows.
  • Bilingual Birdies CD, Bilingual Birdies is an amazing foreign language music program (based in New York) whose mission is to teach cross-cultural understanding, compassion and curiosity through foreign language and music. My daughter loves to clap and bounce around when we play this CD. I am sure your child will love it as well!

The Faces of Tomorrow Necklace is Perfect for EVERYONE

I have gotten a few questions about who should wear this necklace. Is it for moms? Your kids? Pets? Well the answer is- for EVERYONE (if you are willing to attach it to Scruffy’s collar!). I specifically designed this necklace to make it an easy wear for anyone who supports a good smile. Being 16 inches, it’s the perfect, versatile length.

I had a model casting… and a few of my friends and neighbors were kind enough to do a little modeling for me… here’s what came about:

How cute is this necklace on this toddler? She loved it so much she didn’t want to take it off!

Can you imagine your daughter wearing this necklace to the first day of Kindergarten? I sure can.

This necklace is still cool and hip enough for those hard to please teenagers!

And as a mom, it is also perfect for YOU. When was the last time you actually treated yourself to something special?

This necklace was specifically designed for Faces of Tomorrow and includes:

  • a sterling silver 16 inch ball chain with clasp
  • a dime sized disk hand-stamped with the word “smile.”
  • a butterfly charm to represent the transformation these surgeries provide
  • a 4mm white glass pearl bead to symbolize a pearly white smile along with several smaller seed beads to add additional detail.

This is a limited edition piece, and will only be sold from Monday, June 21 until Wednesday, June 30. This necklace sells for $40 and 100% of the proceeds will go to FOT – that’s $20 a necklace!! The proceeds go directly to the charity- OpenSky doesn’t see a dime, and I don’t see a penny- just some more happy kids on this planet!

Faces of Tomorrow, How you can help TODAY!

A few days ago, I introduced you to Ivey’s first (and simultaneous second) tooth.  During the teething process I came to realize that those newbie chomps are the start of what I hope to be Ivey’s most permanent accessory – her smile.

As her mother, and number one fan, I’ve committed myself to doing anything and everything I can…every second of every day… to keep that smile of hers going strong. If you are the mother of a smiling baby, I know you’ve felt that warmth that radiates from every pearly white – and how inspiring that warmth is!

So, now that I’ve made you feel all mushy inside, I’m taking this opportunity to pull on your heart strings and get you to help out with an organization whose mission is literally give children smiles. Faces Of Tomorrow provides free medical and surgical processes to children with facial deformities. I have always admired FOT, especially as my neighbor, fellow mom and dear friend Kristen is on the board.

I’ve always wanted to get involved with FOT, but since I’m far from a licensed nurse (like admirable Kristen), I’ll never have the chance to travel to third world countries, perform facial surgeries, and turn frowns upside down- at least with my bare hands. I came up with my own way to help, my own hands-on way to make a difference I designed this necklace (yes, me, Kelly Tirman-the product prescriber, enthused blogger, tooth flossing mommy, and now-the jewelry designer…how DOES she do it?)

necklace

I’m working with a handful of absolutely brilliant and amazing people… FOT (they are featuring the necklace on their site!), Neida (the fabulous supplier making these designs happen), OpenSky (the guys helping me bring this hot item to my shop), and now YOU.

So here are the details:

  • This necklace will actually go on sale next Monday 6/21 and will only be sold for a limited time during the month of June.
  • They will sell for $40 (They cost $20 for Neida to make)
  • 100% of the proceeds will go directly to FOT – that’s $20 a necklace directly to charity I nor OpenSky is making a dime.

But Kelly, you said I could help today but yet the necklace doesn’t go on sale until next Monday. What’s the deal? Well, that’s super easy – please help me spread the word. It’s an amazing thing that my baby girl is developing her smile, and it’s an amazing thing that together we can help others develop theirs. So tell your friends – tweet about it, post it on Facebook, link this post to your blog/web site, shout it from your roof- whatever way you get important words out… :)

I thank you with my whole heart.
