Post image for Giveaway: Pump Hands-Free with Simple Wishes

Overview:
Working a full-time in an office environment and pumping isn’t always easy – unless you have the proper tools to go Hands-Free. I tried several hands free pumping bras (a few DIY attempts included) and couldn’t find one that fit correctly until my friend @hygeiaKate introduced me to Simple Wishes.

There are two main reason that I think Simple Wishes is hands down the best pumping bra on the market:

  1. This product is created by moms for moms
  2. This product is completely adjustable which allows for a perfect fit

This product is created by moms for moms
There’s undoubtedly something special about the bond between sisters. With years of combined experience at Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy behind them, sisters Debra, Lydia, Joy and Keren decided to create a product that they – as new mothers – felt was missing from the market.

This product is completely adjustable which allows for a perfect fit
Since every body is different Simple Wishes is completely adjustable which allows for a perfect fit not only on day one but as your body changes as well. I have lost 53 pounds since I gave birth to my daughter and I think it is amazing that I can continue to use the same size bustier from Simple Wishes.

The Giveaway:
Head over to http://promos.theopenskyproject.com/pumpingbra and enter your email address. One lucky mom will receive a coupon redeemable for a FREE Simple Wishes – Hands Free Pumping Bra and everyone else who enters will receive a coupon for a 10% off.

Post image for 2009 Holiday Gift Guide for the Gadget Obsessed

Here is my list of  holiday must haves for the gadget obsessed momma. I have separated this list into two sections “what I have” and “what I want” just in case the hubby Santa reads this and wants to know what to get me.

What I have:
kindle Kindle
The Kindle is doing for books what the iPod did for music. Since it goes everywhere I go I am never without my books, which means I’ve done more reading in the last six months than I have done since I finished my undergrad ten plus years ago.
iphone iPhone 3Gs
The iPhone is a gadget obsessed momma’s dream. While on maternity leave there isn’t anything I haven’t done with this phone including: made/received calls, booked meetings, made notes, played games, taken pictures, shot video, edited video, posted media, located parks/restaurants, ate, shopped, tweeted, updated my status, blogged, read and worked out. I won’t go anywhere without it.
camera Olympus Stylus Tough-8000
While attending mommy/baby swim classes I realized I had no way of capturing precious “in pool” memories. As a result I recently purchased this waterproof camera from walmart.com.
orbit-lantern Black Diamond Orbit Lantern (in white)
I might not be an avid backpacker but this lightweight, collapse-able backpacking lantern has this gadget obsessed momma dreaming of the great outdoors. At less than 5.5 inches tall it is just so darn cute, especially in white. Great for power outages!
aerolatte Aerolatte Stainless Steel With Stainless Steel Stand
Seriously one of the best gadgets I have ever bought. This steam free milk frother has not only saved me time it saves me money. With this I can create a coffee house worthy latte in one hand and hold a newborn in the other.
What I want:
pulse Pulse Smartpen
The Pulse smartpen records everything you write and hear, so you never miss a word. As I head back to the corporate world, after being on maternity leave, I hope this will fill the “mommy brain” gaps.
sprint Sprint 3G/4G USB Modem U300
With this 3G/4G card your laptop will never be without internet access. The monthly service fee is a little steep but if you are able to work from the beach it might just be worth it.
mophie The juice pack air™ by Mophie
A rechargeable external battery concealed inside of a protective form-fitting case for the iPhone 3G & iPhone 3GS. It offers the full protection of a hard-shell case while providing virtually TWICE the battery life of the iPhone alone. Hopefully this will allow me to get through the day without needing to recharge!

Kindle, We Need to Talk

kindle vs nook

I love you, but I am starting to have doubts about our relationship. At times it seems a little one-sided. No matter how much money I spend my needs are not being met. My eye has started to wander.  Her name is Nook and although nothing has happened (no Nookie yet) she has made some interesting promises.

  • She tells me I will be able to touch her screen and get a response. Pushing your buttons isn’t always intuitive.
  • Instead of being exclusive, when I am done reading a book, she is going to let me loan that book to all of my friends.
  • And lastly, she is colorful whereas you are so black and white.

So what do you think? Can we make some changes? I really do love you and I want this relationship to work.

I Was a YouTube Virgin Until…

November 16, 2008

Until recently I had never uploaded a single video to YouTube. I was essentially a YouTube virgin but that all changed the day I bought my Flip Mino. In just two short weeks I have uploaded roughly a half a dozen videos to YouTube which isn’t bad considering I have full time job and a house to manage.
