Three Things I Finally Did That Made Me Happier Than I Could Have Ever Imagined.

Three things I finally did in 2014 that are making me happier than I could have ever imagined.

  1. I made self care a priority. This includes the basics like getting a solid night of sleep and finally making (and keeping) an appointment to get a mammogram. It also includes implementing a meditation and yoga practice which I look forward to telling you more about in future posts.
  2. I quit my job. This one was a hard one. I care so much for my business partners and clients but given my long commute it was impossible to find or keep any balance in my life.
  3. I bought a single speed bike instead of a car. After we moved from San Francisco to the East Bay late in 2013 my husband and I knew we would eventually need to buckle down and buy a second car. Thankfully, due to the other changes I’ve mentioned, I was able to buy a single speed city bike instead. It is turquoise and adorable. Unlike the bikes I used to ride in my 20’s (before I had kids and still trained for triathlons) this bike is not made for speed. It is made for FUN.

Here is to a Happy, Healthy and Fun 2015. What do you have planned to ensure your happiness?
