Instead of a pity party, how about kicking off your summer with a real-life positivismo party? It’s easy to have a positive attitude and shape up this summer by following these simple tips:

1. Serve good quality foods like fruit and milk.

2. Artisan organic cheese, salami, olives, and nuts are also a big hit. Or what about making these awesome goat cheese, avocados wrapped in prosciutto?

3. When serving sweets, such as cookies, make them yourself using fresh, local, quality ingredients.

4. To help with portion control, consider food on smaller plates. I like to use my kids’ lunch trays.

5. Exercise your mind. For example, how about playing Spanish Bingo with the kids? The first player to fill a card with tiles by matching the pictures wins! This game is great for preschoolers because it promotes vocabulary enrichment and hones their perceptual skills.
6. Dance “El Paso Positivo”! Remember dancing the “Macarena” at those parties in the 90′s? Singing and dancing is such a healthy, positive way to shape up. Why not grab your guests and get your groove on by dancing the “Paso Positivo”? Linden loves to dance to this song…
