Multilingual children need to hear their second languages spoken often. This is one of the reasons music can be a great educational tool. Words and phrases, even foreign ones, are much easier for kids (and adults) to remember when put to music. Here is a list of our favorite multilingual music. I hope you enjoy these recommendations as much as we do.

Thanks for this. I am the only one in the home that speaks to my kids in Spanish and they really need to have it reinforced.
My favorite French children’s CD is “Nous sommes tous comme les fleurs” by Charlotte Diamond. There are some cute songs on there, including a dinosaur song that we love stomping around to!
I’ve been trying to raise my daughter bilingual in French and my husband takes her to Chinese school on Saturdays during the school year. We both really love languages, and we hope our kids do, too!
Thanks for this page!
What languages do you speak with your children?

This is great. We’ve been testing some out, so we’ll have to try these as well.
Love this post! My husband and I are thinking of enrolling our kiddo in a bilingual school when we move overseas, and I think music will be a great way to introduce her to the new language. Thanks for sharing!
XOXO,
Kristina
