Multilingual children need to hear their second languages spoken often. This is one of the reasons music can be a great educational tool. My favorite French children’s CD is “Nous sommes tous comme les fleurs” by Charlotte Diamond. There are some cute songs on there, including a dinosaur song that we love stomping around to!
I’ve been trying to raise my daughter bilingual in French and my husband takes her to Chinese school on Saturdays during the school year. We both really love languages, and we hope our kids do, too!

Love this post! My husband and I are thinking of enrolling our kiddo in a bilingual school when we move overseas, and I think music will be a great way to introduce her to the new language. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, this sounds awesome. How many languages does your family speak? Also, it was great meeting you at Bloggy Boot Camp, I really enjoyed your session, it helped give me some direction about what I want to do next.
My kids currently speak English and Spanish but we listen to music in many languages. I find it amazing that even my youngest can sign along. We will be increasing the languages we ask them to speak over time but we wanted to make sure Spanish was native to them before we attempted to tackle too much. Hope that helps.
