Toddler Crack

Ivey was such a good eater before she got hooked on toddler crack. Now all she wants to eat are these cheesy crackers shaped like animals. Any ideas on how I could be this little girl to happily eat vegetables again?

  1. Oh yikes! I can’t even get my boys to eat vegetables without toddler crack! Maybe mix them in? I know it sounds so gross…..but hey my mom put melted cheese on our broccoli when we were kids and it worked, why not try cheesy crackers! =)

  2. Try frozen peas or frozen corn. Mad loved the little crunch and the bite sized pieces. Though getting her to eat peas now is like getting the husband to eat mushrooms. Not gonna happen.

Good luck and know that this will pass.

  3. I wish I knew the answer. I would like to know it myself. If any of that “crack” comes in contact with her all other food is out the door. I have to force her to eat real food and then tell her that when she finishes she can get some “crackers”. Good luck!!

  4. That’s a hard one. One trick that worked for us was that I used the same little bowls to serve her crackers each time, and then switched out cut up mandorins in the same bowl and then moved to other fruits, and then by the time I made roasted green beans(called them green fries), she totally eats them out that same bowl. Like she knows its her snack bowl. Crazy, I know, but it worked.

  5. Hahaha! So true! We have eliminated the toddler crack in our house for a period of time. It seems that if it is gone a for a bit they forget about it and go back to eating what I want them to eat. I don’t know if that would work for you, but it is worth a try!

  6. Good luck!!! We just stopped buying the crack for a while because it was all my daughter wanted to eat. It was a bit rough at first, but it did eventually work itself out.

  7. My child is addicted to fruit. Guess that’s not such a bad thing but I want her to eat veggies too! HA! Just keep offering and without the crackers on the side and perhaps……. perhaps….. 😉

  8. Another SF blogger, how fun. Thanks for finding me. My crack is burritos in the Mission. I’m on a quest to try every single one and keep comparing them back to Farolito.

I added you to my google reader, I love the clean look of your blog and your pictures.

  9. Vegetables are over-rated. I say enjoy the crackers! 😉 Love your blog….now a new follower.
