Weight Loss Update

The Goal and Overall Plan:
Reach my goal weight (135 pounds) before my 35th birthday on April 9th.

I lost zero pounds this week. Making it 11 pounds in 10 weeks. 28 pounds since I started my weight loss challenge in 2009 and 53 pounds since the day I went to the hospital to give birth to my daughter.

I increased my caloric intake after losing too much weight last week but it appears I might have added a few too many calories back into my diet. Since I am breastfeeding I presently consume between 2000 and 2300 calories a day to balance out the ones I am burning.

Instead of the number on the scale I am trying my best to focus on my overall health. Honestly, I am pretty impressed with the amount of fruits, vegetables and water I now consume like second nature.

  1. I think trying to lose weight while breastfeeding will be hard because of this balance you have been trying to do this week. Thanks for sharing (as usual). You have been making it seem effortless most of the time FYI, even though I know you have a lot of thought going into it.

  2. I did the same thing because I am also nursing. I lost 5lbs in one week and then added some calories and didn’t lose for a month. I think I have finally found a balance! You’ll figure out what you need!

  5. I remember how tough it was to balance eating well, taking care of yourself and a baby, and everything else! You’re doing a great job! Focus on overall healthy habits and you’ll see results. Keep it up!
