20 Pounds in 13 Weeks – Week #6

The Goal and Overall Plan: Lose 20 pounds before my 35th birthday (April 9th).

weightloss_021310

I lost another half of a pound this week. Making it 6 pounds in 6 weeks. 23 pounds since I started my weight loss challenge in 2009 and 48 pounds since the day I went to the hospital to give birth to my daughter.

Although I am happy with my continued weigh loss, certain parts of my body seem to be flabby and located farther south than my pre-pregnancy days. Hopefully a good solid workout everyday will change that. Last week, I was luck enough to receive a copy of Your Shape Featuring Jenny McCarthy and as a result I am recommitting myself to working out on my Wii.

Do you workout on your Wii?
What games do you enjoy and how do you keep it interesting?

Discloser: Collective Bias was kind enough to provide me with a copy of the Your Shape Wii game Featuring Jenny McCarthy

  1. I’m so proud of your accomplishment so far! That is awesome! How old is your baby now?

BTW, read your tweets earlier and LOVE how you are trying to make the baby food. Let me know how that goes. I had a special baby food processor that steamed too and baby food freezer trays. Made these huge batches of food and froze everything.

Looking forward to having you involved in Mamavation ;) XXOO

Thanks Leah! Your personal story is quite amazing and one of many that keep me on course. The baby just turned six months last Thursday.

  3. Yay on your weight loss. Keep up the good work. I use wii active sport 30 day challenge and the wii fit plus and also I have your shape, but I prefer wii active and wii fit plus. I mix them up and do different ones on my active rest days

great blog!!! Good job girl!!! 6 lbs in 6 weeks… perfect!!! Super healthy way to lose weight. Keep up the good work.

  5. Congrats on your weight loss! Way to go! Losing the baby weight is sooooo hard! My “baby” is 2.5 and although I’m almost where I was pre-pregnancy, nothing is as “high” as they were before baby :( Coming to accept that has been a big challenge, as I still haven’t accepted it and I’m still working to get there.

To be honest, I just can’t get into working out with the Wii. I find that the intensity isn’t high enough for me to get that endorphin release I need – you know, that runner’s high. I much prefer running outside on my lunches or doing The Shred.

Congrats on your weight loss – keep up the good work!

  6. Congrats on the weight loss! I loved making my own baby food, too. It was so much fun, and way easy. I think 6 pounds in 6 weeks is perfecto!

Congrats on the loss! I’m also looking forward to hearing what you have to say about Jenny McCarthy’s program. I am also a baby food maker. You just feel so much better about what goes in your baby’s tummy that way! Hope it goes well this week!

  12. Good job on the weight loss so far!! I can’t offer any words of wisdom regarding the Wii since we don’t have one. I do Pilates, plus we have a recumbent exercise bike and a Total Gym. And I love walking outside when the weather is agreeable!

  13. Wow, you are doing a great job! I’ve seen the Your Shape & wanted to try it myself (no Wii, though). I hope you like it. Keep up the good work, you’re almost there, you can do it!!!!

  15. OH, Lord knows my whole body has shifted south! I’m hoping that isn’t permanent as well. :)

Congrats on all the losses!!! Hope you enjoy the Your Shape game…that was on my wish list, but havent gotten it yet. I am currently loving the Golds gym cardio workout for the wii. I also like using the wiifit plus and love the more workouts active game. The Wii fit is what got me started and how I have lost what I have and owe a lot of credit to it!

  20. You are doing an amazing job! It must feel so amazing to be so close to your goals. You should be very proud of yourself!
