Ivey Maudell turned four months old today. I can’t believe how fast time is flying. To ensure I remember all these special moments I will be taking a “birthday” picture every month for her first 24 months as well as charting her developments.
Summary of Ivey’s development this past month:
- Will hold head steady when we sit her up
- Will reach for and grasp objects
- Will explore by mouthing and/or banging on an object
- Will shake a rattle
- Will open mouth when watching others eat
- Will babble, making almost sing-song sounds
- Will recognize familiar faces
- Will scream if annoyed
- Will smile at herself in a mirror
- Can return her binky to her mouth after removing it
- Enjoys being cuddled

OMG!!! Kelly, that is the cutest freakin’ photo ever!!! Ivey is Babelicious – what a doll. Love the color contrasts in this photo. Wish I would’ve thought of using the spongey numbers for monthly photos of my gals. I ended up writing on index cards or paper – this is soooo much cuter. Love, love it!
Wow, is it possible that she is even more beautiful than ever?
She’s just so adorable! Do you think of these things on your own or do you have somewhere you get these milestones from? I forget these things when I’m blogging about her,
She hasn’t done the opening mouth when she watches us eat but she surely does stare at us like crazy.
